"The Prestige" is very catchy; a bit frenetic. Vandenberg occasionally reminds me of the same urgent energy that drove some of the early They Might Be Giants recordings. That nervous momentum is very apparent on The Prestige. It's a high energy song that is guaranteed to get people moving.
lyrics
Verse [ G / Eb9 – D9 ]
To, question why, might, still, get exciting
Whispers wishing for jobs, we shout to, say we're strong
The will to, Sing a new song anyway
There somewhere in between
The Pledge, Turn, Prestige, Magic Tricks
Chorus [ C / Bb ]
Indeed shall, make it in your mind now
Even if not knowing quite how
The tipping points are leading
More I'm leaning
Verse [ G / Eb9 – D9 ]
To, question why, might, still, need a reason
Or we'll choose cause we'll be strong, or not to breathe at all
Without will, to sing a new song everyday
There somewhere in between
The Pledge, Turn, Prestige, Magic Tricks
Chorus [ C / Bb ]
Indeed shall, make it in your mind now
Even if not knowing quite how
Were told the reason meaning
More then seeming
Bridge [ Ab / Ab / C / C ]
To make the same
As From a dream
Relearn our game
Instrumental Chorus and Bridge on Cues
Chorus [ C / Bb ]
One shall, pushing further than most,
Something Pleasant there that can show
Changing signs that almost, make me think that
Verse [ G / Eb9 – D9 ]
To, question why, might, still, get exciting
To, question why, might, still, get exciting
Still, get excited
There somewhere in between, the Pledge, Turn, Prestige
They're Magic Tricks Indeed, They're Magic Tricks Indeed

Abe's Logic is my solo project. There's a variety of styles, kind of a ska funk garage rock with mixtures of voice, guitars,
drums, bass, sax, B3, rhodes, piano...and the occasional ukulele. I've made all of this in my studio (meaning that I have a computer ;-)...more
